of Newfoundland, however, there are some families with connections to other

Note regarding surname spellings - As most genealogists know, a surname can be 
found to be spelled in a variety of ways in official records.  In order to 
assist researchers, in most cases I have kept the original spelling of the 
surname as found in the records rather than change the surname to the known or 
current modern spelling.
